Partnership dialogue this time much deeper: Mozena

Thursday, 30 October 2014

US Ambassador Dan Mozena said Wednesday that the third Bangladesh-US partnership dialogue, being held in Washington, has been much deeper than last year's, reports UNB.
He said there was a plenary session on the second day of the dialogue where both sides reviewed the development of security issues that last year determined and also the development in the apparel sector.
Mozena made the remarks while responding to a question on the partnership dialogue after a programme on sustainable energy at Westin Hotel in the city.
The US diplomat said the first day of dialogue was dedicated to three working groups-on development and governance, trade and investment, and security cooperation, as well as discussions on regional and, international issues.
The first day went well and both the sides reported about their discussion to US Under Secretary for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman who is leading the US side and to Bangladesh's Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque, leader of the Bangladesh delegation, he added.
