Passenger with revolver arrested at Dhaka airport

Security officials at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka Friday arrested a passenger along with a firearm on his way to Sylhet by a aircraft of United Airlines.
Mashfiq Mahmud Khan (30), son of Yeahia Khan of Doublemuring thana of Chittagong, was challenged because of his suspicious movement while he was making journey break at the airport, airport sources said.
"A revolver with 15 rounds of bullet was recovered from his possession during a body search. Then he was handed over to airport police station," a senior official of the airport said.
Sub Inspector Abbas of the police station confirmed it.
The police officer said Mashfiq during a preliminary interrogation said he was carrying the licensed firearm of his grandfather.
