Passing away of former Minister M. A. Razzaque
Thursday, 8 December 2011
I sincerely extend my condolence to the family of Late Minister Razzaque. May Allah forgive his sins and grant him paradise. One strange thing I have noted when Mr. Razzaque was in coma and about to be disconnected from the life support system. His wife requested that an Imam be called to conduct the "Tawba" (Repentance). He was lying totally unconscious, how could he ask Allah for forgiveness of his sins. This is absurd and is not supported by any valid proof. Everyday in our life we should be mindful of Allah and conduct our affairs accordingly. Everyday in our conscious mind we should ask for Allah's forgiveness. Allah is the Most Merciful. In one of the Hadith it is narrated that Allah has kept for himself 99% mercy and has given 1% to all living beings. We should remember that this life is a test for the everlasting after life. The more possession and wealth we have, more accountability we have in the hereafter. Specially those leaders who have sought leadership of the millions of half clad and half feed humanity have to answer every bit of the privilege and power they use to maintain their position. When the Angel of death approaches to fetch their soul, they beg their creator for a second chance. Then the Angel tells them how they misused scores of years of their life time to do well and deal justly with mankind. The Muslim Caliphs never sought power; they were forced into power by their people. Every moment of their lives they were scared about correctly dispensing their duties and ask Allah's guidance to deal justly with their subjects. They used to cry at night supplicating to their Creator to give them wisdom so that they do treat their subject justly and fairly. They were so scared to use the public property for their personal use that they would work in their spare time to support their family. May our leaders be scared about a day they will have to give accounts of all the luxury and facilities they are abusing from the public property Muhib Reza E-mail: muhibreza@yahoo.com
