Passport offices earn Tk 17.5m in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Feb 18: Passport and visa offices in the region have earned revenue amounting to Tk 17.5 million during its service week from February 4 to 11, reports BSS.
Rajshahi divisional and seven regional passport and visa offices earned the revenue during this period, said Abjaul Alam, Assistant Director of Divisional Passport and Visa Office.
During the period, 4,739 applications were received and information, fingerprints and photos of the applicants were collected and preserved. And 3,506 applicants received passports in all eight districts under Rajshahi division, he added.
