Pay Commission submits report today

The National Pay and Service Commission will submit today (Sunday) its report on possible pay hike for government employees.
Commission chairman Mohammad Farashuddin will submit the report at 9:00 am at the ministry of finance, officials said.
He will hand the report to Finance Minister AMA Muhith.
The 250-page report has been already printed from the Bangladesh Government Press.
After the submission of the report, a secretariat committee will be formed to do the spadework for execution of the recommended pay scale.
The upgraded pay will be implemented on the basis of the cabinet- committee suggestion, from July 01, 2015.
The government formed the 17-member commission, headed by Farashuddin, also a former Bangladesh Bank governor, for more than 1.7 million current public servants.
The pension of the retired officials and employees will also be upgraded.
