The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sacked on Tuesday the entire selection committee following the team's subpar performance in the ICC World Cup 2023, according to Pakistan's 24-hour national television channel SAMAA TV.
Those who were sacked by PCB management committee chairman Zaka Ashraf were Tauseef Ahmed, Wajahatullah Wasti, and Wasim Haider.
The announcement of the new selection committee will be expected within two days.
The PCB is likely to pick up the new chief selection committee from one of the former cricketers.
Inzamamul Haq and Morne Morkel had already stepped down from the posts of chief selector and bowling coach.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Mohammad Hafeez, Sohail Tanvir, and Wahab Riaz.
The consultations were likely to focus on matters pertaining to the selection committee.
