Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad and Secretary General Ziauddin Bablu on Friday greeted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and his party as the BJP-led alliance is on its course for an absolute majority in the Indian national election. Both the leaders also greeted the people of India as they showed once again that they are unique and also dedicated to giving democracy an institutional shape, said a JP media release. The leaders observed that the Indian people have maintained continuity through playing their role in peaceful and democratic change of government in the just-concluded elections. The JP leaders hoped the Bangladesh-India ties will be strengthened further under the incoming new Indian government and all the unsettled issues between the two countries will be resolved. India’s opposition leader Narendra Modi and his party won the national elections in a landslide, preliminary results showed, driving the long-dominant Congress party out of power in the most commanding victory India has seen in more than a quarter century, according to a news agency
