People call for foiling conspiracy against CMTS

COMILLA, Aug 18 (UNB): Local people called for foiling the conspiracy against Comilla Medical Training School (CMTS) and demanded that the institution run all its activities on its own campus at Kuchaitali.

The demand came at a press conference under the banner of "Conscious Citizen Society" at a local restaurant Sunday.

Local Cooperative Bank president advocate Nazmus Sadat, principal Selim Reza Sourav and Rafiqul Islam spoke, among others, at the conference.

They said the school has all physical infrastructures, including administrative and academic buildings. They alleged that a certain quarter was creating problems in the running of the school on its own campus.

After failing to sell admission forms on its own campus due to the conspiracy, the forms were being sold from a room in the Civil Surgeon's office, two kilometres from the main campus, creating confusion among admission seekers and their guardians, they said.

The speakers warned that they would announce a tough action programme if the conspiracy against the school was not stopped and the school's academic activities were not allowed on its own campus.
