People no longer accepting hartals, blockade: PM

SHAFIPUR, Feb 12 (Agencies): Terming troublemakers as 'monsters', Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has warned them that they will be suppressed firmly.
"Those who are burning innocent people alive for nothing; are they human beings or monsters?" she said Thursday while addressing the parade of the 35th council of Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) at Shafipur in Gazipur's Kaliakair.
She said the people are no longer accepting (obeying) the hartals and blockades called by the BNP-led 20-party alliance although the BNP chairperson is carrying on with her movement.
"Country's people are no longer accepting her (Khaleda) hartals and blockades although she has been continuing her movement.
