People still celebrating Eid in Rajshahi

Many people specially the teenagers are still celebrating Eid-ul-Azha, the 2nd largest religious festival of Muslism, in Rajshahi although the main celebration day was on Monday. They are seen visiting the amusement spots especially the bank of Padma River with joy and enthusiasm turning the spots overcrowded till Friday. Thousands of people, especially children, poured in and around Rajshahi city’s parks, historic places and other recreation centres to enjoy the Eid. Shahid AHM Kamruzzaman Central Park and Zoo, Shaheed Zia Shishu Park, Varendra Research Museum, BGB Amusement Point, Vadra Park, Padma Garden and Borokuthi amusement point drew huge crowd. The Central Park and Zoo, the only big amusement place of Rajshahi metropolis, has got a new look with massive development works. Children, young men and women wearing colourful dresses gathered parks and amusement spots and Eid fairs where small makeshift shops were set up to sell different homemade foods and toys. Eid gatherings of children and cultural functions were also held at different areas in the city, according to a news agency.
