People won't accept polls under present govt : Rizvi

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the people of the country will not accept elections under the present government.
"Teachers, labourers, students and people are united against the present fascist government. They will not accept election under the government," he said while distributing leaflets in the capital's Bailey Road area ahead of the party's road march programmes on July 18 and 19.
He said that the one-point movement of his party and other likeminded parties and alliance is now at the final stage.
He also said that the nation is now united to realise their one-point demand.
"So, now we have a single point demand that is immediate resignation of the government and hold free, fair and credible national elections under an election time caretaker government," he stated.
