Pepsi launches new promotional campaign to attract youths

Pepsi, one of the country's popular soft drink brand, recently announced the launch of a unique promotional campaign titled 'Ek Chumukei Pepsi Star'.

The campaign, which will target mainly the youths, will help enhance Pepsi's strong youthful pedigree.

The 'Ek Chumukei Pepsi Star' campaign will provide once-in-a-lifetime chance to seven lucky winners to feature in a TV commercial starring international football icons such as Beckham, Messi, Ronaldinho, Fabregas, Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard.

Besides this, one lucky winner will be able to travel to Barcelona to meet Thierry Henry.

Speaking on the occasion of announcement of the campaign, Transcom Beverages Executive Director Golam Quddus Chowdhury said, "The 'Ek Chumukei Pepsi Star' campaign gives a never before platform to Bangladeshi youths to achieve superstardom by drinking Pepsi. Pepsi has always been providing unique international platforms for our younger generation and this campaign is another step towards that".

One needs to buy a bottle of Pepsi to participate in the campaign. Urging the country's youths to participate in this 35-day campaign, Transcom Beverages General Manager (GM) Khurshid Irfan Chowdhury said, "In carbonated beverage market Pepsi is number one in quality. The 'Ek Chumukei Pepsi Star' campaign will bring Pepsi and the younger generation closer and give them new ways to interact. The Bangladeshi youths feel very strongly about expressing themselves and this campaign provides several such opportunities".

Pepsico International East Region's GM (Marketing) Ravi Kapoor, Asiatic MCL General Manager Ferdous Hasan Neville, Asiatic Events Marketing Ltd Executive Director Tahsin Sayeed and Transcom Beverages Market Development Manager Arif Hossain were also present.
