PGCL earns Tk 1.44b revenue in last FY

Pashchimanchal Gas Company Limited (PGCL) earned Tk 1.44 billion (144.07 crore) revenue and Tk 50.535 million net profit by selling 498.341 MMCM gas in the fiscal 2006-2007.
This was disclosed at the eighth annual general meeting (AGM) of the company held at a city hotel Monday.
PGCL Chairman and Joint Secretary (Development) for Energy and Mineral Resources Division Md Emdadul Hoque presided over the meeting.
This year the company paid Tk 141.6 million to the National Exchequer as DSL, dividend and income tax.
All shareholders and directors of the company took part in the AGM.
The meeting approved the company's audited accounts for the fiscal 2006-2007.
