PGDNC pleads for turning down Jamaat

Wednesday, 24 December 2008

Ponchattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee (PGDNC) formed a human chain at Muktangan Tuesday and pleaded not to vote for Jamaat-e-Islami, which was castigated for its role against the country's Liberation War in 1971, in the upcoming general polls, reports UNB.
Protesting the reported plan to kill Awami League president Sheikh Hasina, the committee urged the government to beef up her security.
The committee members also demanded immediate trial of the war criminals.
Faruk Ahmed, Kazi Nizamuddin Shahin and SK Badal were present on the occasion.
