Pharma industries urged not to compromise with quality

Health and Family Welfare Secretary A.K.M. Zafar Ullah Khan has urged the pharmaceutical industries not to compromise with 'quality' of their products.
His remarks came on the eve of the 37th annual general meeting and seminar of Bangladesh Aushad Shilpa Samiti (Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries) held at a city hotel Monday evening.
Newly elected President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Annisul Huq, President of Bangladesh Aushad Shilpa Samity S M Shafiuzzaman and Secretary to the Ministry of Law Kazi Habibul Awal were also present on the occasion.
Secretary General of Bangladesh Aushad Shilpa Samity Nazmul Hassan presented the keynote paper on "Bangladesh Pharmaceuticals Industry: Past and Present"
"Maintaining quality of products is very important for the pharmaceutical companies," Zafar Ullah Khan said.
"Each and every single pharmaceutical product must be of same quality; no matter whether the target customer is rich or poor", he added.
FBCCI President Annisul Huq in his speech urged the business people to join hands together to utilise the immense potential of the country.
