PhD degree awarded

Professor Nilufar Begum'Nilu, director (Admin and Finance) of National Academy For Educational Management (NAEM), Ministry of Education was awarded PhD degree recently in Anthropology from Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the thesis entitled 'Socialization process in rural society and achieving women's self-reliance perspective women development", says a press release. She did the thesis under the supervision of Dr SM Nurul Alam, professor of Anthropology of JU. She is the second daughter of Alhaj Md Nurul Islam (retd Assistant Engineer, T&T Board) and Begurn Rawsan Ara of Pabna. She is the wife of Controller General of Accounts (CGA) Bangladesh Mr Md Shahad Chowdhury. Prof Nilufar is grateful to all her well wishers and those who helped her to achieve the degree.
