UAE-Bangladesh Investment Company Limited Managing Director SM Akbar has obtained PhD from the University of New Castle, USA.
His research was on "Factors Affecting Techno-Finance Facilities and its Impact on the SME Development in Bangladesh."
Akbar obtained his MBA degree from UK and completed banking diploma from the Institute of Bankers Bangladesh and UK.
Akbar started his banking career in 1977 with BCCI overseas Ltd. He joined Credit Agricole Indosuez in 1985.
