Philosophy Day observed at RU

RU Correspondent RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Nov 22: The World Philosophy Day-2011 was observed amid enthusiasm at the Rajshahi University (RU) on Monday. To mark the day the department of philosophy arranged different programmes at the university campus. Earlier the teachers and students of the department brought out a colourful rally from Momtaj Uddin Arts building at 10.30 am that paraded the main roads of the campus. Later the rally gathered at the Kazi Nazrul Islam auditorium in a discussion meeting. The meeting was presided by renowned novelist and also the Banghabandhu Professor of Dhaka University Prof. Hasan Azizul Haque, while the RU Prof. M Abdus Sobhan was presents as the chief guest. Prof. M Aminul Islam of Dhaka University presented the keynote paper. WiFi link soon It is a matter of time now that the students of the Rajshahi University (RU) are going to get the WiFi connection on campus. Students will now be using free internet connection at the library premises of the campus. "It is a rapturous matter that we are going to get WiFi connection," said Nayeem Shahreer a MBA student of Finance and Banking depertment. "We were yearning for this connection for a long time and this will boost in our educational quality," he added.
