Phoenix Finance provides Tk 100m for BRAC's micro-finance programmes

Phoenix Finance and Investments Limited (PFIL) has provided financial support of Tk 100 million (10 crore) to BRAC for supporting and strengthening its micro-finance programmes.
In this regard a fund disbursement ceremony was held in the city Tuesday, where PFIL Managing Director A Quadir Choudhury handed over a cheque of the said amount to BRAC Chief Accountant (Accounts) Khokan Chandra Das. Among others, PFIL Executive Vice President M Shah Alam was also present on the occasion.
BRAC, the largest non-government development organisation of the country has long been striving to alleviate poverty. Among its different projects, micro-finance programme is a unique one.
