Photojournalist Haji Zahir on life support in Delhi

Country's eminent photojournalist Alhaj Zahirul Haque is now on life support at a hospital in New Delhi, the capital of India. Hafiza Zahir, daughter of Zahirul Haque, fondly called by his colleagues and friends as ‘Haji Zahir’, told reporters in Delhi on Thursday night. Hafiza said Haji Zahir, who was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (formerly PG hospital) in Dhaka last month, was flown to New Delhi for better treatment on June 5. He has been suffering from old age complexities for the last couple of months. His family members have urged people of Bangladesh and Haji Zahir’s friends and admirers living abroad to pray for his early recovery, according to a news agency.
