Photojournalist Sohan dies

Senior photojournalist Mir Mohiuddin Sohan died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the city on Tuesday, reports UNB.
He was 57.
Mir Mohiuddin had long been suffering from cardiac disease. He had worked for the Daily Ittefaq for three decades.
The namaz-e-janaza of the journalist was held at the National Press Club at 11:30am. Leaders of various journalists' bodies paid their last respects to Sohan.
He left behind wife, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu and journalist leaders expressed profound shock at his death.
Born in Mymensingh in 1958, Mir Mohiuddin Sohan won UNESCO award, Ruposhi Bangla award of photojournalist association and Jahanara Welfare Award.
