Physically challenged boy killed

A physically challenged boy was strangulated to death and the body was dumped in a ditch in Khamargati village in Sirajganj Sadar Upazila at sometime between Thursday night and Friday. The deceased was identified as Sohan, 9, son of Aynal Haque of the village. Local sources said Sohan had gone missing on Thursday. After a frantic search, neighbours saw his body floating in a ditch near Khamargati Modhyapara School with a scarf around the neck on Friday midnight. Being informed, police recovered the body on Saturday and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy. One Shahar Uddin, 49, son of late Abdul Kader of the village, was arrested in this connection, according to UNB.
