Physicians urged to ensure healthcare services to rural people

Speakers at a programme have urged the physicians to ensure healthcare services to the rural people particularly the poor and disadvantaged ones to build a healthy nation. ‘In this context, the physicians can play vital role to attain the cherished goal if they are so much active and cordial to reach their medicare services to the doorsteps of the common people’, they said while addressing a views exchange and filed level experience sharing meeting with the deputy commissioner (DC) of Gaibandha at his office. Gana Shastha Kendra (GSK), Gaibandha region office, arranged the meeting for the 4th year students of MBSS, BDS and Physiotherapy courses of 17th batch of Gano Bishwabidyaloy affiliated Gano Shastha Community Based Medical College as part of their month-long field level activity. DC M Ehsan-e-Elahi said healthcare services is one of the major fundamental rights of all the citizens so that the doctors should provide medicare services to all properly. Professor Dr Shahab Uddin Ahmed, pathologist M Shahin, regional director of GSK Kaosar Ali Reza and student Shamim Quazi, among others, spoke, according to BSS.
