Pilkhana carnage: Major Ghazzali, Major Noor buried with state honours

Major Abu Syed Ghazzali Dastgir and Major Mohammad Tanvir Haider Noor who were brutally killed along with other army officers during the February 25-26 carnage at the BDR Headquarters in the city were buried Tuesday with full state honour at Banani Military Graveyard, reports UNB.
Earlier, their Namaj-e-janaza was held at the Army Central Mosque in Dhaka Cantonment after Zohr prayers, said an ISPR release.
Representatives of President Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Chief of Army Staff General Md Abdul Mubeen, high civil and military officials, employees and members of the martyred families attended the Janaza.
"Some unruly and misguided BDR members brutally killed a total of 58 officers, including 57 army officers deputed to Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and one retired army officer, one Sainik and two army officers' wives at the BDR Headquarters on February 25-26," said the ISPR release.
Fifty-nine of the martyrs were buried with full state honour earlier.
