Pinak-6 owner\\\'s son held in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel in a drive arrested another accused in connection with Pinak-6 launch capsize incident from a house at Khilkhet in the city on Friday. The arrestee was identified as Omar Faruk Limon, 27, son of Pinak-6 owner Abu Bakkar Siddique, and No-3 accused in the launch capsize case. Tipped-off, a special team of Rab-1 conducted a drive in a house in Khilkhet area and arrested him around 2:30am, said sources from Rab headquarters. Earlier, RAB in a drive arrested Abu Bakkar Siddique alias Kalu, the owner of the sunken launch at Agrabad in Chittagong city early Wednesday. The overloaded Pinak-6 capsized in Padma River, 800 yards off Mawa Ghat (jetty) on August 4 with over 250 passengers on board while it was heading towards the jetty. Forty eight bodies were recovered from Padma and Meghna rivers till Tuesday night after the launch capsized in the mighty river, according to UNB.
