Pinak-6 remains untraced, 36 bodies found

Bodies of 14 victims of Monday's launch capsize have been fished out the fourth day into the ferry disaster, bringing the body count to 36. Eighteen bloated corpses have been sent over to families after identification until Thursday, said Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Saiful Hasan Badal. ‘Pinak-6’, the medium-sized passenger ferry, went down Padma River with more than 300 people on board. It was capable to accomodate between 120 and 150 passengers at a time. As many as 110 people were rescued while the rest remained unaccounted-for in Bangladesh’s biggest river tragedy this year. The local administration’s temporary control room at Mawa in Munshiganj said they had prepared a list of 134 missing passengers based on complaints by relatives, according to bdnews24.com.
