Pirates abduct 26 fishermen in Barguna

Pirates abducted 26 fishermen from different areas of Barguna Sunday morning.
Pirates abducted 20 fishermen from Pakkidia area, 50 kilometer away from pathargata, Barguna while six other fishermen were abducted from Kachikhali area near Sundarban.
Pirates attacked fishing boats at Pakkidia this morning and in the early hours at Kachikhali. After looting fish, fishing materials and other amenities pirates abducted 26 fishermen.
Barguna District Fishing Trawlers Association President Golum Mustafa said pirates abducted 26 fishermen from 26 fishing trawlers and took away them in the deep forest area of Sundarban and demanded ransom.
Patharghata Coast Guard Station Commandar Lt SA Rouf said they are trying to rescue the abducted fishermen. He said a team of Coast Guard already searching in the Bay of Bengal to rescue them.
