Pitiable state of Maghbazar Road
Saturday, 16 August 2014
I was passing through the road of Maghbazar near the rail crossing and was shocked to see its pitiable condition. I felt that I was walking on the moon's surface. I think the surface of the moon would be much smoother than the road of Maghbazar. It looked the vehicles were crawling. Even the pedestrians found it difficult to walk. The reason may be the construction of the flyover. And who knows when the work will be over. But this should not be an excuse for leaving the road in such a horrible state. A little rain is enough to make the road a deadly trap. Traffic jam is eternal there, even at midnight without respite.
The road has been narrowed for the over bridge construction and big potholes have made the thoroughfare totally unusable. I do not know when will the concerned authority take action and bring some relief for people who live nearby or cross the road. I do not understand how an important road like Maghbazar can be left in such a pathetic state for an indefinite period.
