Plastic makers get new body

Md Jashim Uddin has been re-elected President of the Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) for the 2014-15 period.
Giasuddin Ahmed was elected senior vice president, and KM Iqbal Hossain and Md Golam Kibrea vice presidents of the association, the association said in a statement on Monday.
BPGMEA Election Board's acting chairman Abul Khair declared them elected unopposed while announcing the election result at a special election meeting at its head office in the city.
New seven members of the Board of Directors of BPGMEA were elected unopposed on July 24. The 21-member Board of Directors, which includes newly elected seven members, will run the association for the next one year.
Newly elected seven directors are: General Group- Quazi Anwarul Haque, Tofayel Kabir Khan, Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Mohammad Ilias, Md Golam Kibrea (vice president); Associate Group - Md Abul Khair and Md Khorshed Alam.
Other directors are: Md Shahjahan, Dewan Mofhakkar Hossain Masum, Md Yusuf Ashraf, Ferdous Wahed, Shahedul Islam (Helal), A K M Zahirul Qayum Khan Tipu, Mohamamd Hasan, Md Yaqub, Syed Tahsin Haq, Md Anwar Hossain, Md Mohsin, said the press release.
