Plea to boycott war criminals, anti-liberation forces in polls

CHITTAGONG, Dec 21 (BSS): Leaders of the Sector Commanders' Forum (SCF) Sunday urged the voters to boycott the war criminals and their accomplices during the coming parliamentary polls for the sake of protecting country's hard-earned sovereignty and independence.
Addressing a press conference at Chittagong Press Club, local leaders of the SCF made the call saying the movement against the war criminals and anti-liberation forces would continue until a proper trail starts against them.
They said the coming election has given them a big opportunity to boycott the war criminals and anti-liberation forces politically and socially and also to further speed up the movement against them.
They told the press conference that an eight-member delegation of the SCF led by Maj Gen (retd) Shafiullah was scheduled to visit Chittagong on December 27 to address public rallies at Fatikchhari, Rangunia and Raozan upazilas to mobilise the people's support against the war criminals.
The SCF delegation will also address a public rally at Bahaddarhat area in the city to tell the voters not to support the war criminals who are contesting in several constituencies in the district.
Other delegation members include, Lt Gen (retd) Mir Shawkat Ali, Lt Gen (retd) Harun-Ur-Rashid, Maj Gen (retd) C R Dutta and Col (retd) Abu Osman Chowdhury.
Local organisers of the SCF Gazi Salehuddin, Siddique Ahmed, Freedom Fighter Rabiul Hossain Kochi and Munir, among others, addressed the press conference.
