Please be mindful before making any comment about the armed forces
Wednesday, 20 October 2010
We have achieved our glorious independence in 1971 following a bloody war of liberation under the leadership of our great leader, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and our national defence forces fought valiantly, no doubt sacrificing their lives.
It's a great regret that very recently some of the politicians trying to involve our armed forces into the debatable issues to put the organizational name and fame in question. This is neither acceptable nor desirable at all. This organisation is an organ of our government. We should show respect towards our armed forces. So, I would request everybody to be careful about making any comment on our national defence forces to help keep the dignity of this organisation at all levels. None should dare to take a confrontational stand against our government and the army in order to serve their narrow self-interest.
