Please re-open UAE visa for Bangladeshis
Monday, 20 January 2014
It has been a long time since the UAE has stopped issuing all kinds of visa for Bangladeshi passport holders because of security concern over identification and fake documents. Whatever the reasons, we, the Bangladeshis, are facing various problems due to the restriction. The major problem is Bangladeshi expatriates are unable to change their current jobs right now.
Those of us working in the UAE are facing hard time. I know one person who got the opportunity to work in the famous oil company ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) as an engineer but unfortunately he couldn't join due to visa problem. Even many workers are terminated by the companies and sent back to Bangladesh due to visa problem. I believe the situation will turn normal and these issues will be solved by the Government of Bangladesh. We don't know when the restrictions will be lifted.
Everyone is aware that Dubai is going to organise EXPO 2020 International Fair. In the UAE, many opportunities will open during this season. It is a good time for Bangladesh government to discuss with the UAE government. I would like to request our Foreign Ministry to look into the matter and do something about withdrawal of the UAE visa restriction.
