Monday, 19 January 2015

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday directed the police administration to hunt down the petrol bomb makers and throwers and those responsible for other arson attacks, reports UNB.
The Prime Minister gave the directive to Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque and Dhaka Metropolitan of Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia as she visited the Square Hospitals to see police constable Md Shameem Mia, injured in a petrol bomb attack.
Five policemen, including Shameem Mia, were injured as miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at their vehicle in the city's Matsya Bhaban area on Saturday night as a countrywide transport blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance continued. The police van caught fire after the petrol bomb blast.
The Prime Minister enquired about the health condition of Shameem and asked doctors to ensure his proper medical treatment.
IGP Shahidul Haque and DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia were present during the Prime Minister's visit to the hospital.
Later, the Prime Minister went to see former army chief general (rtd) Mustafizur Rahman's daughter undergoing treatment at the hospital.
