PM attends reception: You look fine, Obama tells Joy

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended a reception accorded by US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at Waldorf Astoria Hotel in the USA on Tuesday evening (US eastern standard time). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Adviser on ICT Sajeeb Wazed Joy, also her son, accompanied her at the reception. Barack and Michelle warmly received Hasina at the main entrance of the grand hall of Waldrof Astoria as she arrived there to join the party. The PM registered her appreciation for the reception accorded by the US President and the First Lady in honour of the heads of government and state of the countries participating in the 69th UN General Assembly (UNGA), being held at the UN headquarters in New York. As Hasina arrived at the entrance Michelle hugged her and led her to the large hall room while Barack turned to Joy and said: ‘You look fine’. After exchanging greetings with Barack and Michelle, Hasina appreciated the US President for his speech at the UN Climate Summit-2014. Obama also lauded the Bangladesh Prime Minister’s speech at the UN Climate Summit. Hasina also thanked Obama for his commitment to save the planet from the adverse impacts of climate change, according to private TV channels.
