PM condoles death of Gano Azadi League chief Samad

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina  expressed deep shock Friday at the death of Gano Azadi League president Alhaj Abdus Samad, according to a news agency.
In a message of condolence, Hasina said Abdus Samad, also the son of late Moulana Abdur Rashid Tarkabagish, was a frontline leader in the country’s anti-autocracy movement as well as the struggle for establishing democracy in the country.
With the demise of Samad, the nation has lost an honest, devoted and ideal politician, the Prime Minister said, terming the death an irreparable loss.
Hasina also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
