PM defends National Broadcast Policy

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said her government is working to make a law aimed at establishing an independent National Broadcast Commission under a newly-formed policy. She said the newly-made National Broadcast Policy will uphold independence of broadcast media and ensure its accountability, responsibility and diversity in a democratic system. She was replying to a starred question from Nurul Islam Milon (Comilla-8) during her scheduled question-answer session, according to a news agency.
