Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina says there is a good side to BNP not being in the 10th Jatiya Sangsad (Parliament). ‘It is good in one way. Parliament does not have to hear slangs. It’s sober now. People have gained back confidence on the Jatiya Sangsad,’ she said on Saturday while addressing a public rally in Habiganj. Her comments coincide with BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s public rally in Comilla city on Saturday. Speaking at the 'New Field' ground's rally, the prime minister came down hard on the BNP-led alliances violence ahead of the January 5 elections. ‘People live in peace while the Awami League is in power and it is the opposite during the BNP-Jamaat regime,’ she said, according to a news agency.
