PM flies to China Friday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka for China on Friday on a six-day official visit during which both the countries are expected to complete negotiations on the construction of a deep seaport at Sonadia in Cox’s Bazar. During the visit, the Prime Minister would hold official talks with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, said a Foreign Ministry media release on Tuesday. She will also meet Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Yu Zhengsheng and have a meeting with Vice-Premier of China Wang Yang. On her way to Beijing, Hasina is expected to inaugurate the second China South Asia Exposition in Kunming as a special guest on Friday at the invitation of the Governor of Yunnan Province Li Jiheng, according to a news agency.
