PM for civil admn’s proper knowledge about defence

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday underscored the need for having proper knowledge about the defense and the national security by the persons in the civil administration. The Prime Minister expressed this view while addressing the 15th joint meeting of the Governing Bodies of National Defence College-NDC and the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment. Hasina said that in the present world, the area of the defense – meaning the national security – has widened manifold. She said the NDC and DSCSC, the country’s two reputed educational institutions, are already well-known at home and abroad for providing quality and time-befitting education. Terming as endless the contribution of the two institutions in achieving professionalism and efficiency by the members of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, she asked the members of the governing bodies to strive to make the NDC and DSCSC most modern and more time-befitting.
