PM for repealing IPR regime for world\\\'s sustainable growth

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reiterated her call to the world leaders for revisiting the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to ensure access to key technology for global sustainable growth. "Existing IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) regime needs to be revisited so that people can have access to key technologies related to agriculture and food security, health and waste management," the Bangladesh prime minister said while addressing an interactive dialogue on sustainable economic growth at the UN headquarters in New York early Sunday (Bangladesh time). Hasina along with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel co-chaired the interactive dialogue on "Fostering Sustainable Economic Growth and Transformation and Promoting Sustainable Consumption and Production" held on the sidelines of the 70th UN General Assembly, according to a news agency.
