PM for sustainable production methods

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday stressed adopting innovative and sustainable production methods for survival in competitive global market, saying consumers are now far more aware than before.
"Consumers are now far more aware than before. They consider not only the quality of products but also the ethics of production, social responsibility, and environmental impact. Therefore, adopting innovative and sustainable production methods is essential for survival in the competitive international marketplace," he said in a message on the eve of the World Accreditation Day 2026, reports BSS.
About the day, the Prime Minister said, "The World Accreditation Day reminds us every year of the importance of safety, quality, and trust in the products and services we use in our daily lives."
The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) observe June 9 each year as World Accreditation Day, he said, adding, this year's theme, 'Innovation, Trust and Sustainability: The Power of Accreditation,' is highly significant and timely.
