PM gives cheques to award-winning FFs

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has handed over cheques of financial assistance to one gallantry award recipient freedom fighter (FF) and family members of other eight such FFs. PM's Special Assistant Mahbubul Hoque Shakil said the Prime Minister distributed the cheques at a simple ceremony at her office in the city on Wednesday. Sheikh Hasina enquired about the wellbeing of the FF and family members of other FFs. Later, she donated Tk 20 million to Chittagong Bar Association. Association president Advocate Abdur Rashid received the cheque for the money on behalf of his organisation. The other office-bearers of the Association were present on the occasion, according to UNB.
