PM gives Tk 10m to physically challenged cricketers

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday handed over a cheque for Tk 10 million financial assistance to ‘Bangladesh Cricket Association for the Physically Challenged’ to support the physically challenged cricket players. President of the association Prof Dr Shaikh Abdus Salam received the cheque from Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Youth and Sports Jahid Ahsan Rassel was present. On July 16, the PM announced a financial assistance of Tk 10m for Bangladesh Cricket Association for the Physically-Challenged when officials and players of the association called on her. Country’s physically-challenge cricket players recently won the T-20 series in India, according to BSS.
