PM greets Bonna on birthday

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina wished singer Rezwana Choudhury Bonna on her birthday over phone during a live television show Tuesday, reports bdnews24.com.
The music show was being telecast by Channel i.
News of the greeting Tuesday morning took the social media site Facebook by storm.
The PM's sister Sheikh Rehana, too, sent wishes over the phone to the eminent Rabindrasangeet singer.
"I am delighted about her (Sheikh Hasina) phone call. I felt our PM is a person of fine taste and a music lover," said an overwhelmed Bonna.
"The fact that she watches such programmes in the morning has pleased me a lot."
Channel i aired the show, 'Gane Gane Sakal Shuru', in their regular slot at 7:40 am Tuesday. The audience makes song requests to artistes in the show over phone.
