PM hails Malaysia for recruiting BD manpower

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has thanked Malaysia for its decision to recruit more manpower from Bangladesh. She also thanked the Malaysian government to give legalisation to the Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia. The Prime Minister extended her thanks when visiting Malaysian Human Resources Minister Richard Riot Anak Jaem called on her at her office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Tuesday. After the meeting, PM’s Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury briefed reporters. He said the Prime Minister and the Malaysian Minister discussed matters relating to mutual interests, especially recruiting manpower from Bangladesh. Hasina said as the Bangladeshi workers are hard-working, loyal and resilient, it is good for economy of both the countries. ‘The Bangladesh workers are playing a big role in the economic uplift of both the countries,’ she said. In this connection, the Malaysian minister mentioned that apart from the plantation sector, his country will recruit more Bangladesh workers in infrastructure, service and manufacturing sectors under government to government (G2G) initiative, according to BSS.
