PM hands over cheques to families of RMG victims

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wednesday distributed cheques and savings certificates for financial assistance to the families of 34 more persons killed in Rana Plaza building collapse and Tazreen Fashion Fire, reports BSS.
The Prime Minister handed over the cheques and savings certificates from her Relief and Welfare Fund among the family members of the persons killed in the two accidents at a function at her Tejgaon office in the capital Wednesday morning.
Sheikh Hasina first handed over cheques and savings certificates of Tk 0.2 million to Tk 1.0 million to each family of 22 persons killed in Rana Plaza collapse.
She later distributed cheques and savings certificates of Tk 0.7 millionĀ  to each family of 12 persons killed in Tazreen fire tragedy.
The bodies of the 12 persons of Tazreen Fashion tragedy were identified through DNA test at a cost of Tk 5.0 million provided from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund.
Family members including children, spouse and parents of the persons killed in the two tragic accidents received the cheques and savings certificates from the Prime Minister.
While handing over the cheques and savings certificates, Sheikh Hasina talked to the family members of the accident victims and enquires about their well-being.
