PM hands over cheques to families of slain army officials

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina Sunday handed over cheques to the family members of the army officers killed during the BDR mutiny two years back, reports UNB.
The cheques for Tk 0.48 million (4.80 lakh) to each family of the slain officers were distributed at a simple ceremony at the PM's official residence Ganabhaban.
A total of 25 banks provided the cheques for the families of the 57 slain army officers.
Bangladesh Association of Banks' (BAB) arranged the money from their members.
