PM in Tungipara

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left for Gopalganj's Tungipara this (Saturday) morning on a day-long visit. The helicopter carrying her left Dhaka Tungipara around 10:15am. On her arrival in Tungipara, her birthplace, Hasina will place wreaths at the grave of her father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Hasina will pray for the salvation of the soul of Bangabandhu. After taking lunch and rest at Bangabandhu Bhaban, the prime minister will start for Dhaka at around 3pm. Gopalganj district's Deputy Commissioner Md Khalilur Rahman said the administration had taken all-out preparation for the PM’s visit. Security has been beefed up across the district for her trip, according to a news agency.
