PM inaugurates 6 power projects today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to inaugurate 4 power generation and 2 transmission projects today (Sunday) through a video conference from her official residence Gonobhaban, reports UNB.
According to Power Division sources, the projects are the furnace oil-fired 52.20 MW Natore power plant, 102 MW Gagnagor plant in Narayanganj, 52.50 MW Kathpatti plant in Munshiganj and the gas-fired 108 MW Ghorashal plant in Narsingdi.
All these projects were set up by the private sector and the Power Development Board (PDB) will buy electricity from them.
The transmission projects are the 54km long 400 KV transmission line from Meghnaghat to Aminbazar of Savar and the 132/33 KV transmission substation at Lalbagh in the city.
