PM inaugurates Scout Jamboree

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the 1st SAANSO Scout Jamboree in Gazipur. She reached the National Scout Training Centre at Kaliakoir Upazila in the district around 10:00am on Saturday. As many as 9,000 scouts and officials from home and abroad including Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan are participating in the Jamboree, said Bangladesh Scouts Deputy Director Md Faruque Ahmed. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Scouting for Peace and Harmony’, according to a news agency.
